International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2026 Successfully Observed

New Destination Active Group successfully observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2026 on 26 June 2026 in coordination with the District Administration Office, Kavrepalanchok, Dhulikhel Municipality, District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, NGO Federation Nepal (Kavrepalanchok Chapter), and Recovering Nepal and local government.
The program was organized to raise public awareness about the prevention of drug abuse, promote recovery, and encourage a collaborative approach to building healthier and safer communities. Representatives from government agencies, security forces, civil society organizations, rehabilitation centers, community leaders, volunteers, and the general public actively participated in the event.
The program featured an awareness rally, public interaction, motivational speeches, and awareness sessions highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse, the importance of early intervention, and the value of accessible treatment and long-term recovery support.
The event was held under the 2026 global theme:
"World Drug Problem: Persisting Issues, New Challenges, Innovative Responses."
